2012 Poster Design Rules and Guidelines

Rules and Guidelines: Scavenger | Essay | Video | Poster

See the general FAQ for more contest details.

The Poster Design Contest is open to all individuals. However, if your group or class would like to use this as a project and make a single submission to represent your group or class that is perfectly acceptable. For example, the poster design could be treated as a class project in which your peers select 1 or 2 designs that would actually be submitted for the Poster Design Contest.

The current guidelines for the Poster Design Contest are as follows:

  • Submissions should in a digital format (PNG or PDF).
  • Work must not have been previously published.
  • Work must not have been submitted in any other national contest.
  • You must own all proper licensing to materials used in your poster (i.e. photographs, images, textures).
  • Any wording or slogans should be original work.
  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
  • Finalists will be asked to provide raw design files (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, etc).

All poster designs submitted during between 12:01 AM on April 24th, 2012 through 11:29 PM April 30th, 2011 will be reviewed by our panel of guest judges (TBA). The result of this judging period will be 5 finalists.

The poster designs of the 5 finalists will be posted to the NPLTW Finalist Photo album on the American Life League Facebook Page:

https://www.facebook.com/AmericanLifeLeague

The number of Facebook Likes on each poster design will determine the score each finalists receives. The winner will be the video with the highest score after a period of approximately 2 weeks following the announcement of the finalists. The final closing date for the voting period will be announced along with the announcement of the finalists.
