05/05/2010 - We have a Winner! Congratulations Mary Collart!
The staff at American Life League spent the last two weeks buried in a mountain of photos. And in the last two hours of the contest, it seemed as if the incoming flow of photos being loaded would never stop. When the dust settled and the server calmed down, we all had to take a step back and just stare at the screen in disbelief. The incredible statistic that came out of this year was that all of the top 10 finishers had more points than the first-place winner from 2009! To take that concept even further, our first-place winner this year, Mary Collart, was only one point shy of DOUBLING the amount of points earned by last year's first-place winner with her 549 points. Everyone in the top 5 for 2010 had over 400 points, and that was a great achievement for our participants and American Life League as well. This is a clear testament to the dedication of our youth to the pro-life movement.05/04/2010 - Tabulating the Scores
We are going through the photos now to make sure the scoring has been done fairly and consistently across the almost 4,000 photos that were submitted. We thank you all for participating this year and look forward to hearing your stories about what you thought about National Pro-Life T-Shirt Week and the photo contest. Your feedback is very important to us in that it will help us create an even more enjoyable experience next year. Send your comments to info@npltw.com!05/03/2010 - Contest has ended.
The contest has ended and you are no longer able to load photos to the site. If you use the iPhone app, it will say that your photo was loaded but it is not actually being saved to the server. We will release a fix for that as soon as we can. You can still tag your photos until tomorrow May 4th at 11:30pm EST. After that, no changes will be allowed. We will announce the official winners as soon as we can.05/03/2010 - What if there is a tie?
Because it's coming to the close of the contest tonight, it is important to note the rule that will be used if there is a tie. The participant that loaded their photo first (by the timestamp in the database) will be the winner of any tie. This means that if you are tied for 3rd place and loaded your last approved photo at 11:10pm and the other person tied with you loaded their last approved photo at 11:12pm, you would get 3rd place and the other person would get 4th place because you got your photo loaded first.05/03/2010 - Official Ending of Contest is 11:30pm EST Tonight!
Today is the last day of the Yo! Where's the Shirt?! photo contest. You must have your photos LOADED by 11:30pm Eastern Standard Time. You will have until Tuesday 11:30PM EST to tag your photos and respond to any questions our approvers may have. Please keep in mind that we are going to be going through all of the photos again to make sure we are judging fairly across all participants. It's not too late to make a huge jump in the rankings. Do not give up!Stay involved on Facebook!
Until next year we are going to keep this party rolling by releasing themed sets of tasks every month. Depending on what is going on at American Life League the tasks will be centered around promoting an event or issue. These tasks will be tracked just like the tasks for this years contest. Points earned will be redeemable for pro-life gear throughout the year!
